Eco Friendly Green Carpet in Houston

Eco-friendly carpeting is one of the many green flooring options we have for you to choose from at Jack's Carpet. With products like Anso Nylon by Shaw and EverStrand and SmartStrand by Mohawk, you can carpet your home in a sustainable way.

Anso Nylon

If you select Anso Nylon for your home, you can rest assured that you are making an environmentally friendly choice. All Anso Nylon carpeting is SCS certified with 25% post-consumer carpet content. This brand of flooring has also been Cradle-to-Cradle™ certified by MBDC. When it is time to install new carpeting, Anso Nylon is designed to be fully recycled. In fact, Shaw recycles more carpet than all other manufacturers combined, over 100 million pounds in the last year alone.

Anso Nylon green carpeting is great for other reasons as well. Made from nylon, this brand of flooring is very resilient. These fibers are known for having the highest resilience of synthetic or natural carpet fibers and excellent elastic recovery properties. Anso Nylon also offers an unbeatable warranty, with over 40 years coverage on all purchases. Whether you have children or a pet, this carpeting is designed to resist staining. It is also very durable, able to with stand more wear and tear without showing it. This is an environmentally friendly flooring option we highly recommend.

Mohawk

Another environmentally friendly carpeting option at Jack's Carpet is Mohawk's EverStrand and SmartStrand carpeting. As part of Mohawk's initiative to reduce, reuse and recycle, this first line of green carpeting is made out of recycled plastic bottles, but the fibers are still as soft as can be. In fact, one in every four bottle used in the United States is turned into a Mohawk carpet. Moreover, these eco-friendly carpets are stain resistant, great for kids and pets.

Mohawk's other line of green carpeting is SmartStrand with DuPont, made from corn sugar. 37% of the carpet fibers come from harvested corn in an effort to replace materials such as petroleum that are needed in the manufacturing, but harsh on the environment. Therefore, this carpeting option makes less of an impact on the environment. As with Mohawk's EverStrand, SmartStrand is durable, stain resistant and easy to clean, while still maintaining a soft feel that is perfect for your home.
